    Abstract
    4-Aminobiphenyl (£-biphenylamine) is a solid chemical which is moderately soluble in water. It is used in the detection of sulfates and in cancer research. It formerly was used as a rubber antioxidant. 4-Aminobiphenyl may enter the aquatic environment via effluents from chemical plants where it is manufactured or used, and spills.
