Oral History Interview, Lachrista Greco (1942)
Abstract
In her three January 2020 interviews with Samantha Garlock, Lachrista Greco discusses her educational, professional, and personal endeavors. She recounts her time as a student in elementary and high school, earning her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Gender and Women’s Studies from Edgewood College and DePaul University, as well as her current experience earning her Master’s in Library and Information Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s iSchool. She reflects on her career, including her future ambitions in the field of librarianship. She discusses her work in the feminist world, like organizing Take Back the Night marches in Chicago and Madison, volunteering for intervention and crisis centers, participating in various feminist writing projects, and founding the viral social media page, Guerilla Feminism. This interview was conducted for inclusion into the Women Inspire (Women@UW) Oral History Project of the UW-Madison Archives & Records Management oral history
