    Abstract
Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been a significant rise in anti-Asian hate crimes across the U.S. The Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism found such crimes decreased overall by 7% in 2020, but racially targeted violence against Asians spiked by early 150% despite the federal action taken by the Biden Administration.
