dc.description.abstractThis paper analyses the use of mind mapping to China primary school’s English teaching and probes into its current situation, the characteristics of primary school students in the cognitive development stage, and the characteristics and functions of mind mapping. The research involves the method of mind mapping about how mind mapping can be applied in the teaching of the English vocabulary learning, reading comprehension and writing skills. This paper’s conclusion, based on a series of studies, mind mapping teaching is more functional than traditional teaching methods and teachers can apply the mind map in the primary school English classroom teaching properly, according to the students’ learning situation.
