Abstract
In her 2013 interview with Pat Calchina, Deborah Nelson details her life in Madison. She spoke of the time period between the early 1980's and present (bulk of interview in the 1980s) and of the following topics: lesbianism: forced to leave teaching because she was a lesbian, working at Lysistrata, GLBT politics in Wisconsin, the AIDS crisis, lesbian culture in Madison, Catherine Rouse murder/suicide. This interview was conducted for inclusion into the project, Madison's LGBT Community, 1960s to the present, Madison's LGBT Community, 1960s-present, part of the UW-Madison Oral History Program's general collection
