    Abstract
    During Grandparents University, Renewable Energy Studies Major, Max Cantor, interviews his grandfather, Martin Preizler, about how his relationship with energy has changed since his childhood. Preizler shares his experience with the oil industry as a child in California, the actions his family takes to practice good energy use, and his hopes for Cantor’s generation to optimize energy-related changes happening today to ensure a brighter future. This interview was collected in collaboration with the Wisconsin Energy Institute (WEI) and is housed within the Oral History Program at the UW-Madison Archives.
