    Abstract
The influence of sedimentation and turbidity associated with erosion from the Nemadji River Basin is assumed to have deleterious effects on the aquatic biota. Studies in the past year have concentrated on identifying fish and macroinvertebrate populations which reside permanently or seasonally in the river system. Data on substrate type, turbidity and other stream parameters is being related to the distribution and population size indices of these organisms. This information will be necessary for evaluating the impacts of the proposed erosion control structures in relation to natural conditions in the basin.
