    Abstract
A proposal to use sediments dredged from the Superior=Duluth Harbor as construction material for the proposed Arrowhead High Bridge has been the impetus be hind this study. The focus of the study is a comparison of geological and chemical characteristics of dredged material which has already been utilized in highway construction, with that of other Pleistocene aged sediments which might be employed for the construction of the Arrowhead Bridge.
