    Abstract
The COVID-19 disaster has resulted in feelings of isolation and trauma, as well as hope for the future. Two international studies were conducted in 2020 to measure the impacts of gender equity, access to health care, and systems that did not perform well during the pandemic. Results showed that feelings of isolation and stress were at a high level yet respondents also expressed significant levels of resilience and hope for the future. In this paper and presentation, which were given virtually at the Synergetic Approach to the Design of Living Space of Personality Conference of Poltava V.G. Korolenko National Pedagogical University in Poltava, Ukraine, the survey results and a new disaster recovery-sustainability transition framework were discussed.
