dc.description.abstract | This thesis will discuss how art therapy works with elderly who are going through different stages of Dementia. History and background will be discussed as well as statistics to emphasize how elderly are affected by this deteriorating brain disease. Art therapy will be discussed to share the importance of how art therapy works as well as how different art based approaches and directives benefit and improve the quality of life among the elderly population. Three different case studies of residents with varying abilities and cognitive function, will be shared to validate why art therapy improves such clients quality of life. | en |
