Parent Awareness of Transition Services for Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder
Abstract
The following study was conducted to determine parent’s knowledge of transition services available to their children served under the category of Autism Spectrum Disorder. The study showed that the majority of parents from the indicated school were unaware of transition services and resources were available for their children. The majority of parents were unable to provide a definition of transition service, or provide an example within their local area.
