Abstract: In his 2013 interview with Troy Reeves, Professor of German Linguistics Joe Salmons discusses his background, the field of German linguistics, and his coming to UW-Madison. In addition to his work as an academic, Salmons discusses his involvement with the 2011 Capitol protests, Act 10, the Budget Repair Bill, the New Badger Partnership, public school education, tuition, social media and activism, and the state Wisconsin and national politics.
