A survey of parents' opinions and attitudes on the tracking program used by Longfellow Junior High students in La Crosse, Wisconsin
Abstract
It was the purpose of this study: (1) to determine by means of a questionnaire the opinions and attitudes of the parents of students in Longfellow Junior High School concerning tracking in that school building; (2) to review literature and research studies pertaining to tracking and ability grouping; (3) to ascertain if opinions differ due to such variables as grade placement, track assignment, sex of student and method of grading; and (4) to formulate any other conclusions from the results of the survey which may be regarded as significant by the surveyor.
