    Abstract
Empirical evidence suggests that early parental involvement in a child's education results in greater academic success. Many studies have been done on White, African American, and Hispanic families; however, few have examined Hmong families. This study explores the extent to which language and other cultural factors create barriers that impede Hmong parents' involvement in their children's education.
