    Abstract
Little published research is available regarding the impact of diabetes on patients using free clinics as their primary source of health care. As part of a larger diabetes management project, this study interviewed diabetes patients at the Chippewa Valley Free Clinic regarding their experiences with diabetes and its impact on their lives. Struggles, challenges, successes, health needs, and health goals were explored.
